So, we are going to continue to protect the environment now on whatever level we can. There is mass evidence that the chemicals used in the production of cotton not only damage the environment they also pose a serious threat to the health of the cotton farmers, workers and wildlife in the surrounding areas. Organic farmers report substantially higher incomes, allowing them to educate their children and gain access to health care.

What is 100% Organic?

100% organic cotton is cotton that has been grown without the use of any synthetic fertilisers, soil additives and genetic modifications. This means the cotton plant will take longer to grow but will produce a better quality fabric. Our refusal to use these chemicals will go some way to help restore the environments natural balance. Our suppliers in the U.K and manufacturers in India have been accredited with the Confidence In Textiles stamp which ensures our garments have been tested for harmful substances and each organisation is also a member of WRAP (A certified Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production facility).

What about FairTrade? 

While all our garments are organic products, since the begining of June 2008 we now also carry a Fairtrade Certified cotton t-shirt. The shirts which carry the Fairtrade logo are available in a selection of colours for gents and ladies and are available by way of wholesale trade only. We are pleased to announce we have been accredited by the Fairtrade Organization. This is a product certificate system designed to allow people to identify products that meet agreed environmental, labour and developmental standards. These are overseen by a standard setting body Fairtrade Labelling Organizations (FLO) International and a certification body FLO cert. All our producers were audited to ensure agreed standards were met.
